Congratulations to our boys’ football team who defeated Knockainey NS today in Herbertstown to claim the South INTO Mini 7s title. The boys led from start to finish with a very impressive display of score taking. This is a first 7s title in either football or hurling for a boys’ team in the school.
Our girls made a tremendous effort to retain the Mini 7s title they won last year. There were three girls teams taking part. In the first game, Herbertstown had a narrow loss to Ballylanders NS. The second game saw Ballylanders NS and Knockainey NS play out a draw. In the final game, Herbertstown defeated Knockainey NS. The results meant that Ballylanders were the overall winners with Herbertstown NS finishing as runners up.
