3rd class marked the Chinese New Year by embarking on project work about the Asian country.

All teams scored very highly and the team members can be very proud of their efforts!

The group performed the piece ‘Inis Oírr’ in the Instrumental Music section of the competition.

The team had been taking time out of their lunch breaks in recent weeks to prepare and really enjoyed the experience in Bruff.

Mrs Murphy’s third class have been very busy since they returned to school. Here are some photos of some of their activities:

Junior and senior infants performed The Sleepy Shepherd, 1st & 2nd class performed Stable Manners and 3rd class performed A Very Mixed Up Christmas. Congratulations to all the boys and girls, all their hard work over the past couple of months was clear to see for everyone who attended the shows.
Sincere thanks to all the parents, guardians and extended school community who supported the production of the shows and helped with the raffle.
Thank you also to the school staff who worked hard on the preparations and in the production of all elements of the matinee and evening shows.

Each of the sixth players did very well in what was their first game of handball outside of PE lessons in school. Three of the players were medal winners as the school collected a silver medal in the Roinn B girls division and bronze and silver medals in the Roinn B boys division.
All sixth were excellent representatives for the school at the event.

Preparations for the upcoming shows by junior & senior infants, 1st & 2nd class and third class are in full swing with a less than a week to go before their performances!
An added element of excitement is that the traditional raffle on the night of the shows will include a top prize of a 32” LED SMART TV, which has been kindly donated by Finucanes Electrical (Limerick).
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at both the matinee and the evening show on Tuesday next (13th Dec). In light of this special top prize, if any parents/guardians are not attending the shows, but would like to enter the raffle, they can do so by purchasing tickets through Aladdin ePayments up until Monday.
All tickets purchased (e.g. online tickets, matinee tickets and evening show tickets) will be entered into the draw for the tv.
