County Mini 7s Finals

Our boys travelled to Rathkeale to represent South Limerick in the County INTO Mini 7s football finals.

They had three games against the winners of the City, East and West divisions.

In the first game, they were defeated by an excellent Roxborough NS team who would eventually win out the competition.

In game two, they were defeated by Broadford NS but played very well, possibly having a greater share of possession but did not register enough scores to trouble the West side.

In the final game, Herbertstown had a good win over St. Nessan’s NS to finish the competition in third place. Well done to the boys and their coach Mr. Franklin.

Training continues ahead of Mini Sevens

Training is continuing ahead of the INTO Mini Sevens hurling and camogie competitions next week. Hospital/Herbertstown hurler Michael Whelan is providing coaching for rest of the term and it is a great help to the school as it allows our camogie and hurling teams to train side by side.

Our girls mini 7s football team will contest the county final on Wednesday April 3rd in Rathkeale. It will be the second time that the school has played in the county football final, the previous occasion being in 2017. Our girls are back training ahead of what will be a great day for the school.
