The junior and senior infants released their butterflies last week. The 5 Painted Ladies had grown from caterpillars into butterflies in Mrs Murphy’s classroom.
The pupils in first and second class were busy this morning making paper windmills. Have a look at these photos to see how they created them using paper, pins and straws.

Well done to the boys and girls who made an extra effort last week to walk to school.
Here are some photos of some of the pupils on walks last week. Juniors and Seniors made a new friend on their walk!
1st & 2nd class celebrated the work of Eric Carle by creating some artwork in the style which he became famous for. The class also looked at some of his more well known children’s books like ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?’.

3rd & 4th Class explored the school grounds recently on a ‘Shape Scavenger Hunt’ which was designed by a pupil in the room.
3rd & 4th Class had an opportunity to practice mindfulness through a colouring activity in the May sunshine.
1st & 2nd class have spent the last few weeks watching the seeds they planted grow into plants. Today, to kick off Biodiversity Week, they planted one plant into each of the raised beds in the school garden with the hope that each class will have a pumpkin of their own next October in time for Halloween.
Any visitors to the HDA carpark will be able to watch them grow over the next few months.
